Hello,

My name is Nicole, I am a 33 yr old mother of 2. A son, Zac, who will be 3 yrs old in November (he's the size of a 4 1/2 yr old though) and a daughter Kimberly, who is 12.

I was diagnosed with R.A. in May of 2005, but they think I'd had it long before that. I'd been misdiagnosed and even told it was all in my head at times.

I'd like to meet new people who can understand the constant pain R.A. and similar disease can cause.

My biggest pet peeve is people not wanting to understand or trying to understand the illness. Most people think it's just some minor illness.

Hi nicole my name is Deneen and I am a mother of 2. a son who is 21 and a daughter who is 14. I was diagnose with R.A. in 2007 at first they thought I had lupus and then they said a sister to lupus. Now my rheumy doctor says definitely the results came positive for R.A.

I also have problems in my surrounding because I feel people, especially family members dont feel that my illness is that serious. I have knee pains all the time. Sometimes its my left leg and other times its my right, then there are times that its both.
I am interested in knowing how you are being treated medically. I am on Plagunil and I take naproxen for the pain.

Hi Nicole I see this group has been around for awhile am so glad as I know what you mean by one thinking this pain is all in your head. I have had it so long it's apart of my everyday life.My family seems to have been bless with RA my mother had it myself and now my younger sister who just had a knee replacement and now my one daughter there just is no end.I hope someday they find something that really works for the pain.
